GCC chief condemns Houthis' attack on Imran province

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) GCC Secretary-General Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani condemned on Wednesday Houthi group's aggression against Imran province to the north of the Yemeni capital city and their failure to comply with earlier truce agreement.

Al-Zayani affirmed, in a statement after a phone call with Yemeni President Abed Raboo Mansour Hadi, that the aggression of Houthis represented a drastic deviant from the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference.

He called on Houthi group to abide by the Yemeni unanimous approval represented by the outputs of national dialogue conference and overcoming all the challenges in order to ensure security, stability and integrity of Yemen.

The GCC Secretary General also stressed the need that the Houthis group should return to Yemeni Saada province, their 'main stronghold' and to avoid the challenge and arrogance as an unacceptable act denounced by Yemen and the international community.
