(MENAFN - Arab Times)  KUWAIT CITY July 7 (KUNA): The Cabinet condemned the illegally-held July 4 angry demonstrations which occurred across two residential areas during their weekly meeting at Seif Palace on Monday. Ministers were briefed on the recent unlawful acts namely chaos and destruction caused to public property and fear caused amongst the public State Minister for Cabinet Affairs and acting Justice Minister Sheikh Mohammad Abdallah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah said in a statement.

The briefing delivered by Deputy Premier Interior Minister and acting Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah highlighted the details of the incident and the steps taken by the Interior Ministry which were legal and were aimed at ensuring safety and security. The Cabinet underlined that 'under the Constitution public gatherings are permitted if held under the conditions and circumstances depicted in law - that the tools and means of the meeting are peaceful and do not run counter to morals.'
