(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Mohammed al Hinai emerged champion in the Drift Challenge, held as part of the Ramadan Motor Sports Festival, at the Oman Automobile Association's (OAA) drift arena on Friday.
Ali al Shaihani finished runner- up, while Amur al Habsi took the third position.
The action packed contest saw 12 drivers showcasing their skills cheered by hundreds of drift fans. Earlier, experienced karting driver from UAE, Hussain Umid Ali, clinched both the titles on offer in the second round of the Sodi World Series (SWS) Sprint Race at the Muscat Speedway.
The event also witnessed participation of three women drivers of the OAA's women's team - Shatha al Zadjali, Maryam al Moosa and Halima al Kindi.
The second week action resumes with the first round of the Rally Super Special Stage on July 10, followed by first round of the three-hour SWS Endurance Race on July 11.
