Asian stocks slid on yen gains

Asian stocks dropped with the regional benchmark index from a six-year high, where Japanese yen extended gains amid the current expectations over the outlook for US interest rates.

Moreover, The MSCI Asia Pacific Index lost 0.4% in Tokyo, dropping for the first time in three days as Japan’s Topix gauge slid 0.8%, headed for its lowest close this month. Standard & Poor’s 500 Index futures fell 0.1%.

 Japanese yen climbed a third day, adding 0.1%, while China’s yuan held near a three-month high in Hong Kong. Wheat and corn rose at least 0.3% as gold dropped a second day.
