(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) The University of Buraimi (UoB) has signed an agreement with the University of Western Sydney on organising conferences, seminars, symposiums, lectures and research projects. In addition, the agreement will also provide exchange programmes for students and faculty of both universities.

"The university is working hard to build further cooperation with some of the best higher educational institutions in Australia," said Professor Dr Hesham Magd, vice chancellor, UoB.

Meanwhile, UoB has also joined an international university union called the Student Academic Partnership (SAP). The union provides various academic programmes for students in the College of Commerce at the university.

"SAP provides unique opportunities for students especially in the field of  research technology and in designing  and developing commercial  systems," Professor Hesham was quoted in a press release as saying. Under SAP, students will also be provided internship programmes.

The release further added that SAP will enhance the academic status and will enable the university to tap better opportunities. The union will also be useful for the faculty and adminstration of the university, it added.
