Kuwait- MoI reaffirms resolve to prevent any unlicensed demonstrations


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Ministry of Interior night said that the security services had to intervene to disperse an unlicensed demonstration at the shopping area downtown Kuwait City Sunday.

The organizers of the unlawful demonstration refused the repeated calls of the security services to disperse, thus prompting the latter to use stun guns and arrest some demonstrators, according to a statement by the Ministry.

Those arrested have been referred to investigative authorities, it said, reaffirmed the resolve to enforce law and prevent any unlicensed demonstrations or sit-in rallies out of keenness on the safety of lives and property of the citizens and expatriates.

The Ministry reiterated the call for everybody to abide by the provisions of law and refrain from any irresponsible acts that could mar the public order.
