Qatar Airways hosts media partners for Sohour

(MENAFN- The Peninsula) In celebration of the Holy Month of Ramadan, Qatar Airways (QA) hosted its media partners and supporters for Sohour at St. Regis Hotel Doha last week.

Bringing together media guests, the annual event is seen as an ideal opportunity to network with local partners and was hosted by QA's Corporate Communications Department.

Senior Vice-President Corporate Communications, Salam Al Shawa, expressed appreciation for the media's support of the carrier's growth and development over the last year.

"In keeping with the spirit of Ramadan, our Sohour event brought together friends and supporters from the press.

"We work closely with the media all year around, and it is an important part of our calendar to celebrate Sohour with them," Al Shawa said.

"We cannot emphasise how critical media support is for our growth and expansion, and we look forward to having close working relations with the media over the coming year as well."

Guests enjoyed a programme that included live entertainment by Laialy El Nagham, resident band of Cairo Opera House, and a unique and appealing banquet spread, at the most luxurious Ramadan tent in Doha.

QA has seen rapid growth in 17 years of operation and is flying a modern fleet of 134 aircraft to 144 key business and leisure destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, North America and South America.
