(MENAFN - Arab News) Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) has won the qualification certificate from the Municipal and Rural Affairs Ministry to manage operate and maintain fuel service stations along Saudi highways and roads. This is considered to be a significant milestone that will drive the geographic expansion of the company.

ENOC is one of only three companies in the Kingdom to win the qualification certification which followed a detailed study by the ministry to enhance the quality and service standards of service stations in the Kingdom.

Saeed Khoory CEO of ENOC said: 'We are thankful to the Municipal and Rural Affairs Ministry for the qualification certification to open service stations in the Kingdom. We are committed to deliver on the ministry's goals to provide the highest quality service standards as well as invest in new stations that offer the full breadth of services. This is a true milestone in our geographic expansion to Saudi Arabia one of the fastest growing economies in the region."

Burhan Al-Hashemi MD of ENOC Retail said: 'ENOC's significant differential is the high standards we have set in fuel retailing and convenience stores that operate as part of the service station. This has enabled us to win the qualification certification and we are committed to deliver on the objectives outlined by the ministry."

ENOC Retail has established itself as a petroleum retailing leader in the region. Operating across a network of service stations in Dubai and the Northern Emirates in the UAE ENOC Retail over the years has come to symbolize speed convenience service and value.

With more than 80 million customer transactions annually ENOC Retail today has over 4500 employees who spearhead the retailing of fuel petroleum products and an array of automotive products and services most of them meeting the everyday requirements of motorists.
