Unidentified Attackers Blow up Power Station in Kirkuk


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Ghdad July 06 (QNA) - unidentified attackers blew up a water project and a power plant by improvised explosive devices southwest of Kirkuk in northern Iraq.

Iraqi police said unidentified assailants exploded improvised explosive devices in the vicinity of a water and electricity station in the Al-Mahouz village in Al-Hawija area 0.55 km southwest of Kirkuk causing material damage to the water project and the station.

Meanwhile Commander of the Iraqi Army Air Force Hamid Al-Maliki said more than 12 thousand sorties were carried out since the start of military operations in the province of Anbar west of the country.(QNA)
