BMW reveals USD1b plant investment in Mexico


(MENAFN) BMW, the German luxury car maker, revealed a USD1 billion plant investment plans in Mexico, The Peninsula Qatar reported

The automobile giant attributed its decision in order to take advantage of the country's growing industrial base and tariff-free access to the US market

BMW outlined plans to build a factory near San Luis Potosi, central Mexico, in a move that will reduce the German company's dependence on higher-cost plants at home
