(MENAFN) Official data showed that manufacturing orders in Germany declined in May, following a strong growth in the previous month, Xinhua reported
According to the German Federal Statistical Office, adjusted and inflation new orders in manufacturing dipped by 1.7 percent over April, in which a growth of 3.4 percent was posted
Domestic orders decreased by 2.5 percent month on month and the total orders from foreign customers fell by 1.2 percent despite a growth of 5.7 percent in new orders from the euro zone
"Given the strong start of the second quarter, a growth in industrial orders for the entire second quarter is expected," said the Federal Economic Ministry in a statement
