Four Saudi soldiers, five terrorists killed on borders with Yemen - Min.


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Saudi Interior Ministry announced Saturday demise of four border guards and injury of nine others, while five attackers were killed and one was arrested in clashes on southern borders last night



Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted a statement by the Interior ministry as saying that the attacking group was wanted by the security apparatus and was operating from outside the borders



The statement said six attackers used an SUV with Gulf number plates arrived at Al-Wadie border crossing with Yemen



It added that when the group arrived at the gate they opened fire killing a police patrol commander. Two of the attacker seized the patrol and drove to nearby Sharurah Governorate



It noted that security forces chased the group, killing three and injuring another who was arrested, adding two security men were killed in the operation



Last night, the Interior Ministry announced the death of a policeman in an exchange of fire with gunmen near a crossing point on the border with Yemen



In a press statement, Interior Ministry Spokesman Major General Mansour Al-Turki said that the security forces chased the assailants into the southern Sharurah Governorate
