(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Oman's Ali Moosa al Moosa, UAE's Hussain Umid Ali and Spain's Marc Planas took home the opening day's honours in the Ramadan Motor Sports Festival, which got underway at the Oman Automobile Association facilities on Thursday.
Moosa clinched title in the nine-lap first race of the Sodi World Series (SWS) Karting Challenge, while Ali claimed top spot in the 11-lap second race. Planas emerged champion in the Time Attack Challenge, the third event of the night.
Braving hot and humid conditions, 26 drivers -18 in the senior section and eight in the junior category - fought for the titles in the two karting races.Results: SWS Sprint Race (Senior): Race One (Nine laps):
