(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Dar al Atta'a is now distributing 1,300 iftar packets at 13 different mosques every day for Ramadan.
It has also set up a Ramadan tent in Mawaleh to distribute iftar packets.
The first few days of Ramadan saw the charity organisation distributing 1,000 iftar packets at ten mosques.
Till last year, the charity organisation used to set up a Ramadan tent in Wadi Kabir where iftar packets were distributed.
This year's Ramadan project is expected to cost RO36,000 and Dar al Atta'a has appealed to people and organisations for donations.
May al Bayat, marketing director of Dar al Atta'a said, ''We started with ten mosques but have added three more after requests from imams of other mosques.''
These 13 mosques are in Wadi Adai, Amerat, Mawaleh, Bausher and North Sharqiyah.
The organisation will also organise its popular Eid exhibition to raise funds for its different activities. ''The exhibition is a medium for small and medium enterprises to sell their products,'' May said.
