Facebook faces British investigations
(MENAFN) British authorities said they will investigate Facebook over an experiment that manipulated the feelings of users, as the social network apologized for the incident, The Peninsula Qatar reported
Facebook secretly changed the emotional content of news feed of nearly 700,000 users for one week in 2012, in order to test whether it changed their moods
Some manifested news of the "creepy" experiment caused outrage among users, as the Information Commissioner's Office said it was now looking into the case
"This was communicated terribly and for that communication we have apologized," Facebook's Chief Operating Officer admitted
