(MENAFN) Maldivian Tourism Ministry said that tourist arrivals to the islands have passed the half million in the January-June period, with 27.3 percent of the arrivals coming from China, Xinhua reported
During the first six months of the year, a total of 518,166 tourists have visited Maldives, an 11.9-percent increase compared to the same period last year, in which 463,174 tourists visited the islands
China topped the record for the most tourist arrivals with 141,249 tourists this year so far, accounting for 27.3 percent of the total number of visitors
