China, Republic of Korea trade volume hits USD115.24b


(MENAFN) Customs data showed that trade volume between China and the Republic of Korea (ROK) totaled USD115.24 billion in the January-May period, up 2.8 percent, Xinhua reported



According to the General Administration of Customs (GAC), Chinese exports to the ROK increased 6.6 percent on-year in the period, hitting USD40.75 billion, while imports edged up 0.8 percent to USD74.46 billion



The trade deficit between the two countries retreated 5.4 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching USD33.72 billion, according to the GAC



It is noted that the two countries launches free trade agreement negotiations in May 2012 and more than ten rounds of talks have been conducted by representatives of the two parties
