Afghan Military Delegation to Visit Pakistan


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Bul july 03 (qna) - a high ranking afghan military delegation would visit pakistan on thursday to discuss security related issues including security of those areas which are divided by durand line with pakistan military officials.

a pakistani foreign office official said that afghan delegation is expected to visit the current afghan-pak border along with pakistani military officials to assess exact situation at the area according to the afghan (khaama press).

"we strongly urge afghan authorities to take action against ttp hideouts inside afghan territory and not give them space" the official said.

pakistani government is accused of rocket firing to afghan territory in recent years by afghan government and independent bodies.

several people in eastern kunar and ningarhar provinces killed by these attacks and thousands other flee their home to safe areas.

even though the afghan government shared that issue with un security council but still there is no sign of any improvement from pakistani side.

the pakistani government said they would like to work closely with new afghan government and wishes for a peaceful and smooth transition of power in kabul.

the afghan delegation is due to go to pakistan in a time when the afghan government blame pakistan and its other neighbor iran for supporting those militants who are in conflict with afghan forces in southern helmand province khaama press reported. (qna)
