(MENAFN - The Peninsula) Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP) has announced that Qatar Airways (QA) will be the official carrier of International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovations' (IASP) 31st Annual World Conference (IASP 2014 Doha).



IASP 2014 Doha is a global gathering of science parks, entrepreneurs and policymakers that will take place later this year



As the official carrier, QA will help bring about 1,000 leading government, business and technology innovation delegates from 45 countries to Qatar.



The Head of IASP 2014 Organizing Committee and QSTP Managing Director, Hamad Al Kuwari (pictured), said: "For the first time in the Arab region, IASP2014 Doha will gather entrepreneurs and policymakers from different parts of the world to explore new models of support for the world's most empowered and connected generation of technology startups and entrepreneurs.



"I can think of no other airline that embodies the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit of the event more than QA. We are grateful for the support of QA in making IASP 2014 Doha a success and offering delegates the five-star experience they can't get anywhere else."



QA Vice-President, Commercial, Ehab Amin, said, "QA is pleased to be the official carrier of IASP 2014. It is a great honour to be associated with an event that is bringing some of the most forward-thinking and innovative people around the world to our home base of Doha

IASP 2014 Doha will be the first IASP World Conference in the Arab world. It has hit a major milestone by attracting 138 abstract submissions and lining up 33 speakers, the highest participation the event has seen in the past four years



It will take place on October 19-22 at Qatar National Convention Center.
