South KoreaChina Summit to be Held on Thursday


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Oul july 02 (qna) - south korean president park geun-hye and chinese president xi jinping will hold a summit in seoul on thursday and discuss key bilateral issues.



the upcoming trip will mark xi's first state visit to south korea is a reply to park's visit to china last year. xi will stay in south korea for two days according to (kbs world).



the visit is drawing attention to whether the two leaders will mark a new milestone in seoul-beijing relations by upgrading their countries' strategic cooperative partnership. xi's trip comes amid north korea's nuclear threats and japan's decision to reinterpret its pacifist constitution to grant itself the right to collective self-defense.



park and xi will release a joint statement after the summit which is likely to vow to jointly address key regional issues such as north korea's nuclear development tokyo's collective self-defense rights and attempt to undermine the integrity of the kono statement.
