Spain's new car sales up 17.8 percent in H1


(MENAFN) Organizations from the Spanish automobile sector reported that sales of new cars in the country increased 17.8 percent on-year in the January-June period of 2014, Xinhua reported



The total number of purchases hit 454,942 in the cited period, as reported by many organizations, including the Association of Car Manufacturers (ANFAC) and the Association of Car Dealers (GANVAM)



The number of purchases made by individuals increased 23 percent to 334,394 units, accounting for 50 percent of the total sales, while purchases made by firms rose 9.9 percent to 104,300 units
