(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) National Bank of Oman has launched its Iftar Saim' Ramadan initiative, which saw staff from across the bank distribute food hampers to underprivileged families across the sultanate.
At the recent launch event, chief executive officer Ahmed al Musalmi joined members of the bank's senior management team and staff to deliver the first of the parcels. A total of 390 food parcels will be delivered to families across Batinah, Dhofar, Dhakhiliyah, Dhahira, and Sharqiyah governorates on behalf of Muzn, NBO's Islamic banking window.
NBO staff have volunteered to distribute the supplies to those less fortunate throughout the sultanate, which will include staples such as rice, flour and sugar to ensure the families are well stocked for Ramadan. Musalmi said, ''At NBO we are committed to reaching out to support all members of our local community, especially those less fortunate. Making a positive difference in our community is an important part of our culture.
The holy month of Ramadan is a very important time for us all and we want to ensure that we support as many families as possible across the sultanate. I would like to thank all of our staff who have volunteered to help with this invaluable initiative.'' NBO runs several initiatives throughout the year aimed at supporting local communities and giving back to the sultanate.
