(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Shangri-La's Barr al Jissah Resort & Spa recently sponsored the A Day in Paradise' summer camp event of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
A Day in Paradise' is an exclusive full-day access privilege for outside guests that entitles them to experience the various leisure facilities of the resort.
Over 170 children aged four to 18 and 32 church volunteers spent unforgettable moments experiencing the resort's numerous family and children facilities. They began their day by soaking themselves under the brightly coloured Splashpad facility; a unique aquatic play area featuring water sprays from light mists to projection jets.
Afterwards, the children explored the Al Bandar and Al Waha swimming pools, GameZ entertainment centre, the Lazy River and the Adventure Zone with its Rainbow slides, Tumble Tower and climbing walls. To conclude the fun day, the chefs prepared a special lunch that included hearty salads, grilled chicken sandwiches, hotdogs, French fries, cookies and assorted desserts. ''The luxurious Shangri-La resort is beautifully designed and has extensive facilities for all ages,'' said Dennis Chettiar, the church's camp coordinator.
''All of our children had a very good time during the day. One of their favourite was the giant jumping castle set up in the Barr al Jissah ballroom where they interacted together and got to know more about each other. Father Lionel Braganza, the Salesian priest flew in directly from Kuwait to animate the camp conducting personal development and social etiquette sessions.''
