Thailand's economy to recover in Q2


(MENAFN) Thailand's central bank announced that the country's economy would avoid recession this quarter as manufacturing and consumption started to show signs of recovery, The Peninsula Qatar reporte



The central bank of Thailand said that gross domestic product in April-June will increase more than 1 percent from the previous three month



In the January-March period, the Southeast Asia's second-largest economy reported a contraction of 2.1 percent over the previous three month



"Overall economic activities in May 2014 picked up slightly from the previous month. Manufacturing production and private-sector spending started to show signs of recovery," the central bank said
