The youngsters had come to dindi to attend the 12th day ceremony of their relative who had died recently. after the rituals they went to the nearby reservoir to have a look and got into the water. however since none of them knew how to swim they were pulled in by the water and drowned police officials said.The victims have been identified as d jyotsna (20) a b.tech degree holder and d. devamani an intermediate student both sisters two brothers d. harshavardhan reddy (25) a private employee and praneeth reddy (20) a degree student and their relative avinash reddy (25) police said.Telangana home minister nayani narasimha reddy offered his condolences to the distraught families of the five victims.The incident brought back memories of the horrifying tragedy in mandi district of himachal pradesh earlier this month in which 24 students from hyderabad and a tour operator were washed away in the swirling waters of beas river. the tragedy occurred on june 8 when authorities at the 126 mw larji hydropower project released waters without any warning trapping the victims in a watery grave. only 19 bodies have been recovered so far and search for the remaining six bodies is still on.News?khaleejtimes.com for more news from khaleej times follow us on facebook at facebook.com/khaleejtimes and on twitter at ?khaleejtime
