Sri Lanka's inflation dips 2.8 percent in June


(MENAFN) Sri Lanka's central bank said that the country's inflation dipped 2.8 percent to a record low in June as the country maintained single digit inflation for 65 consecutive months, Xinhua reporte

The annual average inflation also continued its decelerating trend since June 2013 and reached 4.9 percent in June 2014, easing from 5.3 percent in May 2014, the central bank adde



"The relatively low increase in prices of items in the non-food category and the base effect contributed substantially to containing inflation at low levels in June 2014," the central bank said
