S. Korea's exports up 2.5 percent in June


(MENAFN) A government reported showed that South Korea's exports grew 2.5 percent in June compared to a year earlier, Xinhua reporte



According to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the country's exports, which account for half of the economy, reached USD47.84 billion in Jun



Meanwhile, imports rose 4.5 percent over a year ago, hitting USD42.55 billion, sending the trade surplus to USD5.29 billio



In the January-June period, exports reached USD283.57 billion up 2.6 percent on year, while imports expanded 2.7 percent to USD263.29 billion in the same period
