44 H1N1 cases recorded in June, says Oman

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The Ministry of Health (MoH) issued a statement on Sunday stating that 44 cases of H1N1 were registered in the second half of June this year.

These cases include patients with minor symptoms of H1N1 that may not have needed treatment, or moderate cases which may have needed only follow-up treatment in hospitals. No new deaths from the virus were recorded this month, added the statement.

The ministry has also dismissed reports of fresh cases of coronavirus since last December. MoH has announced that vaccines against seasonal influenza are being administered to those planning Umrah and Hajj as the Saudi government has made vaccination of all pilgrims mandatory. The vaccines are being given at health centres across the sultanate.
