Australia set to become the world's third cotton exporter


(MENAFN) According to a bank report released, Australia is on track to be the third largest exporter of cotton in the world in 2014, with expectations of exporting of just under 1 million tons, Xinhua reporte



The report, which is released by The National Australia Bank (NAB) Agribusiness Rural Commodities Wrap, said that a recovery in cotton prices acted as an encouragement to productio



"We hit record exports of cotton in 2012-13, so it's not surprising the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Sciences is predicting an easing off of exports this year to just below 1 million tons," General Manager of NAB said
