(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) The registration of companies with the Special Economic Zone Authority at Duqm (Sezad) will now be completed within 48 hours of the submitting of applications.
Ismail bin Ahmed al Balushi, deputy CEO of Sezad, said the procedure will come into force from today and that the Authority have taken the necessary measures to facilitate procedures for companies operating in the sultanate.
In a statement to ONA, he added that there are a number of available investment opportunities for companies operating in the industrial, commercial and tourism sectors, as well as those operating in the services, construction and other sectors.
Balushi pointed out that companies cannot start doing business in Sezad unless they are registered with the Authority. The registration may be made through the Authority's head office in Duqm or its offices in Azaiba.
Companies can download the registration card and other documents from the Authority's website.
''Sezad's website includes many pieces of information that help investors in taking their investment decisions and save time and effort," he further said.
