Iraq- Maliki rebuffs calls for forming national unity gov't
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri Al-Maliki's rebuffed international calls for him to form a national unity government to ease the political tension in his country.
In a televised speech, Al-Maliki described the formation of a salvation national government as "a coup against the constitution".
"Attacking Iraq is now threatening the unity and stability of the country," he said.
He went on to say that "What is more dangerous is what started from Nineveh province, and want to continue to other areas after receiving support of some of Iraq's neighboring countries in all fields."
