(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Qatari Defense Minister Maj. Gen. Hamad bin Ali Al-Attiyah received visiting British Secretary of State for Defence Philip Hammond on Wednesday to discuss military affairs and issues of mutual concern.
The meeting was attended by Qatar Armed Forces Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. (Pilot) Ghanim bin Shaheen Al-Ghanim, British Ambassador to Qatar Nicholas Hopton and a number of ranking armed forces officers, according to Qatar News Agency (QNA).
The visit of the British official is part of trip in the Gulf region which includes Kuwait, UAE, and Saudi Arabia.
