(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Oul june 24 (qna) - an inter-korean committee set up to handle the operation of the gaeseong industrial complex will hold a director-level meeting at the factory park this week.
a unification ministry official said the north accepted south korea's request on monday to hold a meeting for the inter-korean joint committee (kbs world) reported.
the meeting will take place on june 26 as proposed by pyongyang.
it will be the first inter-korean director-level meeting to be held since late february as inter-korean relations have been tense since north korea protested a south korean-us joint military drill.
the inter-korean joint committee for the complex convenes once every quarter as a set rule. however it has not convened for nearly half a year since the last meeting in december. (qna)
