(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Lulu group has offered ramadan kits comprising of an assorted basket of daily consumed food items for the holy month at up to 30 per cent lower prices.

the initiative launched in association with the ministry of economy includes food items like rice oil sauces dumpling mix juices water and dates. the ramadan kits come in two sizes — one with 12 products priced at dh90 and another with 20 products priced at dh130 — which is almost 20 per cent to 30 per cent lower than the usual market price.
the lulu ramadan kit is available for sale at all stores across the uae. through this project the lulu group is aiming to sell more than 500000 kits throughout their stores in the uae.
the ramadan kit initiative was launched by dr hashim saeed al nuaimi head of consumer protection at the ministry of economy at lulu hypermarket in al wahda mall.
commenting on the new initiative saifee rupawala chief executive officer of lulu group said: “we have always and in the past also tried to keep prices as low as possible especially during the holy month of ramadan and never try to take undue advantage of higher demand.” he said that this year also “we have given commitment to keep the prices of essential food products stable all through the ramadan month. we have also published a list of more than 120 products which are ‘price frozen’ for the entire year.”
dr al nuaimi appreciated the initiative which would be help fight inflation. he said: “this is a very good and noble initiative by the lulu group and we support this immensely.”
