(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Lexus on monday announced a 10 per cent increase in sales of its flagship lx 570 suv during january-may 2014 period across the middle east region.
lexus sold 7736 units of the lx 570 in the region including all the 40 units comprising the first lot of the 200 units of the supercharged lexus lx 570 which the luxury brand rolled out exclusively to mark its 25th anniversary milestone.

the lx 570’s superb on-road and off-road performance is enhanced by its high-strength body-on-frame construction and incredible power output. the supercharged model has a 5.7-litre v8 engine with a supercharger churning out 450hp and 72kg-m of torque teamed to a six-speed automatic transmission with standard full-time four-wheel drive to achieve the largest displacement possible. about 90 per cent of the peak torque comes on stream at just 2200rpm making the supercharged lx 570 exceptionally responsive and incredibly strong as a tow vehicle.
in the case of the sport and luxury models the 5.7-litre engine delivers 362hp of output and 54kg-m of torque to work seamlessly with the very flexible six-speed automatic transmission.
the lx 570 model is offered in three variants with a supercharged sport and luxury edition. all the three variants have a unique exterior appearance which is embellished with front and rear bumper spoilers and fog lamp bezel to complement the lexus spindle grille — the signature front fascia — that represents the new face of lexus.
