Thailand's economic growth to hit 2.3 percent in 2014

(MENAFN) Thailand's economic growth forecasts have been raised by Kasikorn Research Center in 2014 to 2.3 percent from an earlier 1.8 percent, Xinhua reported. According to the center's Deputy Managing Director, the military junta has rolled out a string of economic policies that will contribute in driving the country's economic growth this year up by 1 to 1.5 percent. Meanwhile, the center said that export growth in the country in 2014 will stand at 3 percent only, down from an earlier prediction of 5 percent. However, despite signs of recovery, the Thai economy will keep its poor performance for the second consecutive year in 2014, the center added.
