(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The Oman Visitors Portal recently organised an event to honour the four winners of ‘Let's Discover Oman' photo contest.
The event was held under the patronage of H E Mohammed bin Salim bin Said al Toobi, Minister of Environment and Climate Affairs, in the presence of the portal's management team.
On the occasion, H E Toobi also launched a promotional campaign under the slogan, ‘Oman Summer Surprises'.
The aim of the photo contest was to encourage residents and citizens to popularise tourist sites in the country and help them showcase their work and promote themselves.
The contest launched on social media channels received good response with participation from across the country, stated a press release.
The campaign is being organised in participation with public and private sector firms and will highlight Oman's uniqueness as a family destination during summers. Visitors and residents will be able to take advantage of many exciting offers as part of this campaign which will cover city-based accommodation, regional getaways and the Khareef season in Salalah, the release added.<
