(MENAFN - Arab News) Alinma bank mentored by jojo de silva hammered out a facile 405-0 points victory over saib on total pinfalls of 3792 and drew first blood as team of the week at the start of the 2014 interbank tenpin bowling league organized by interbank tenpin bowlers of riyadh (itbr).

team captain zohair oqilan of riyad bank struggled in manpower maneuvering as he failed to score against the champion team. ronald cruz james frizzle mixi lechuga sonny alviso oqilan and freddie solomon carded 585 547 522 517 509 and 500 while patrick alviso contributed 337.

in other matches banque saudi fransi crushed saudi hollandi bank 210-50 while sister team bsf-cbg thrashed sama-abana team 150-50. dawood sereno and captain jun bantug spearheaded bsf with four-game series of 769 and 713. edwin timango and noel morales rolled 667 and 540 while aj bonifacio tossed in 330. angelito diaz jr. and joseph adao each had 151 and ric camara 125.

the trio of clem salazar jil hembra and arnel bernabe were the highest scorers at shb on 766 731 and 601. cholo nieto and rommel calungcagin rolled 513 and 438 in three games while lauro castro had 299.

bsf-cbg's most bankable players guilbert masias alfred estrada and captain ken hechanova demolished their rivals during the last three games with 727 721 and 637. dennis buot rolled 528.

sama-abana took advantage of the opponent's blind score for a 50-win points during the first game of the match. in a four-man team rotation koko torres jun macarandan captain teody zulaybar and ahmed tarabulsi shot 818 781 644 and 449 in that order.

the tournament is played monday nights at its new venue universal bowling center and is sponsored by all participating banks. the league's committee has elected the same set of officers for this year in robert ting chairman; froy garcia finance director; and teody zulaybar statistician. all the team captains of participating banks are technical committee members.
