BlackBerry posts net profit of USD23m


(MENAFN) BlackBerry announced posting a net income of USD23 million in the three months ended May 31, outperforming analysts' expectations, Arab News reported. Compared to the same period a year earlier, the smartphone maker reported a net losses of USD84 million. However, the Canada-based revenue declined to USD966 million compared to USD3.07 billion registered a year ago. "We are getting very close to making money or at least break even on hardware. Not quite there yet, but close," BlackBerry's CEO said.
