Israeli troops continue arresting Palestinians in West Bank


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Israeli forces continued to arrest Palestinian suspects in the West Bank on Saturday, as part of an operation to search for three kidnapped Israeli teenagers who were abducted last Thursday. Eyewitnesses told KUNA that two Palestinians were injured by rubber bullets and other dozens suffered from gas suffocation in an operation that was carried out early today. In Hebron, Israeli forces arrested 11 people and aother 15 were detained in Bethlehem. Many neighborhoods in Nablus were searched overnight. A 60-year-old man died of heart attack while trying to prevent Israeli troops from searching his house. The Arab American University, a center for scientific research and a local news agency were not spared from being raided and vandalized. The Palestinian authority reiterated its condemnation of the Israeli aggression and demanded Israel to take full responsibility for these serious actions. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu holds the Palestinian Authority responsible for the teens' fate, even though no Palestinian faction has announced its responsibility for the kidnap.
