Oman to withdraw Vital Honey and Royal Coffee from market

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The Ministry of Health (MoH), represented by the Directorate General of Pharmacy and Drug Control, has warned consumers against the use of Dosevital Vital Honey, saying that it is not a natural product as it claims.

A press release said that analyses in the directorate's central laboratory have shown that the product contains tadalafil, a prescription drug which should be used only under a doctor's supervision.

The directorate also received a warning issued by the Saudi Food & Drug Authority on Royal Coffee from the makers of El Dong Slimming Tea, stating that the product is adulterated and also contains tadalafil.

The directorate in its public health advisory has asked consumers not to use these products. The directorate has coordinated with concerned bodies on withdrawal of these brands from the market.
