(MENAFN - Khaleej Times) Abu dhabi would gather information from private and public sectors on investments into each sector of the economy and would keep a constant eye on projects conceived planned and being executed apart from those delayed or cancelled to take corrective measures if needed.

in this regard the department of economic development – abu dhabi has signed a joint cooperation agreement with industrial arm senaat in addition to 60 government institutions and semi-governmental bodies of departments agencies and organisations with the aim of cooperation and coordination between the two parties on the abu dhabi projects programme.

the abu dhabi projects programme aims at highlighting the size of domestic and foreign investment in each sector separately as well as supporting decision makers to the analysis of development in every sector in addition to the identification of all existing delayed and postponed projects and facilitate the access of investors to the investment data in the appropriate sector.

the agreement was signed by mohammed omar abdullah undersecretary of the department and eng suhail mubarak bin athaeeth chief executive officer of senaat in the presence of a number of senior officials from both sides.

abdullah said that the department is working on the establishment of an integrated database within the abu dhabi projects programme which includes information about the strategic and investment development projects which the government and the private sector are working to implement the economic vision 2030 with the contribution of government and semi-government bodies.

bin athaeeth said the parties will follow the mechanism in order to achieve the desired goal of this project where senaat will enter review and update the data of strategic and investment projects of their body in the abu dhabi projects programme of through its electronic system.

the ded has made an initiative to create a live database about abu dhabi projects which include information on strategic and investment projects that the abu dhabi government and the private sector are working to implement to serve the orientations of economic vision 2030.

there are several large major projects in different phases of implementation where the abu dhabi projects programme seeks to collect and inventory these projects in a single database so as to allow the data when completed to know a lot about the practical aspects of the 2030 economic vision for abu dhabi.
