Eurozone's production in construction up 0.8 percent in April


(MENAFN) The statistical office of the European Union Eurostat said that the construction sector's production in eurozone grew 0.8 percent in April over the previous month, Xinhua reported. The increase was mainly attributed to a 1 percent rise in building constructions, Eurostat added. In March, production in construction declined 0.3 percent, while in the 28-member European Union, production in the construction sector increased by 0.6 percent on a monthly basis. The highest construction production increase was observed in Slovenia, Spain and Portugal, which stood at 6.7 percent, 4.8 percent and 4.5 percent, respectively.
