Lebanon adds USD800m to its budget


(MENAFN) Lebanon has allocated another USD800 million for the current year"s budget as the government has already spent most of the funds, according to Arabian Business. The Syrian war has significantly affected Lebanon"s economy receiving a huge number of refugees, prompting the central bank to introduce a USD1.4 billion. Central bank governor Riad Salameh said: "The funds (for 2014) have been almost used completely, that is why we are looking at increasing that package."
