(MENAFN- The Peninsula) The seventh edition of the International Wedding Exhibition and Fashion Show Doha (IWED 2014) unlocked its doors yesterday at Qatar National Convention Centre.
Nearly 100 exhibitors are participating in the most awaited event by soon-to-be-wedded, fashion connoisseurs and wedding planners from Qatar and neighbouring countries.
The event was inaugurated by Qatar Chamber Vice-Chairman Mohammed bin Ahmad bin Towar Al Kuwari, IWED 2014 Guest of Honour and Lebanese designer Fadi Nahle, event organiser Qatar Expo CEO Hadi Alzain Ali along with diplomatic representatives and other officials.
IWED 2014 has gathered under one roof an extensive profile and a full range of wedding and fashion products and services, including upshot exclusive fashion designs of wedding gowns and bridal wear by top designers, latest trends in wedding accessories, selected traditional Arab wear, entertainment services, gifts, mind-blowing displays of floral arrangements, wedding studios, hotel services, hair and beauty saloons and makeup stylists.
It offers a diverse range of designs from Qatar, the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, Italy, Greece, India, and Saudi Arabia.
The four-day event also offers a dazzling combination of entertainment and exceptional fashion shows on the catwalk from 5pm to 9pm.
Among the designers to grace the runway are Rita Pateroni, Gills Manjulakshmi, Elham and image consultant Glam Your Image.
On the last day, Nahle will present his designs on the IWED runway and at a VIP Exclusive Fashion Show at Intercontinental Doha City.
Today and on Saturday the exhibition is open from noon to 10pm, and tomorrow from 3pm to 10pm.
