Japan's trade deficit expands in May


(MENAFN) Local media reported that Japan's trade deficit has expanded in May, remaining in the red for the 23rd consecutive month, Xinhua reported. The world's third largest economy's trade deficit surged to USD8.90 billion last month, as imports rose 3.6 percent and exports dipped by 2.7 percent. On a monthly basis, the country registered a trade deficit of USD7.90 billion in April, according to the Japanese Finance Ministry.
