(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Oman Arab Bank (OAB) organised a reception ceremony for its top individual and institutional clients, and diplomats at Shangri- La's Barr al Jissah Resort & Spa on Monday under the auspices of H E Darwish bin Ismail bin Ali al Balushi, Minister Responsible for Financial Affairs.

The event, which is the third this year, was graced with the attendance and presence of many excellencies and senior government officials and public organisations. The event is one of a series of receptions and dinners which the bank is planning to organise throughout the year in a bid to enhance the bank's partnership with its customers.

The dinner was hosted by Rashad bin Mohammed al Zubair, chairman of OAB, members of the board of directors and Amin Rasheed al Husseini, CEO of OAB. The reception started with a welcome speech by Zubair who welcomed the guests and pointed out that the objective of these events is to meet with clients and bring the bank closer to its valued customers.

He added that OAB has been a leader in understanding its client's business requirements, and such events provide further opportunities to deliver banking solutions that fulfil the client's needs. Over the past years, the bank has witnessed remarkable growth and has been true towards its clients. This has been clearly demonstrated during the global financial crisis. Zubair added, ''In the last few months we started with a new approach and adopted a modern philosophy that shaped a new roadmap towards the implementation of a future strategy for Oman Arab Bank.''

On his part, Amin al Husseini, CEO of Oman Arab Bank, said, ''OAB strategy focuses on being close to its customers wherever they are regardless of their businesses. The bank does everything possible to ensure meeting the needs of its customers and exceeding their expectations.'' He added, ''Oman Arab Bank has been one of the pioneers in achieving very high Omanisation percentage among the banks which currently stands at 94 per cent.

Furthermore, OAB has been one of the leading banks in Oman in terms of financing various projects. The bank, which started operations in the early 70s, played an active role in the socioeconomic development witnessed by the sultanate. It has been one of the leading banks in financing major projects and companies in the sultanate.''

In order to enrich event and make the best out of the client interaction, the bank invited Daniel Sieberg, as a keynote speaker at the reception. Sieberg is a senior marketing manager at Google overseeing media outreach efforts and an official spokesperson. He is also an Emmy-nominated and award-winning TV correspondent/host/author whose work across four continents has appeared on major news channels in the US and worldwide.

In his speech, Sieberg demonstrated the appropriate use of technology in one's life in order to achieve a balance between productivity and efficiency, keeping the social person to person interaction alive. Musical entertainment throughout the event was conducted by Holly Kotz a wellknown pianist/singer who came from London specifically to perform at OAB event
