China's Southern Airline starts operations in Mauritius


(MENAFN) The Office of Mauritian tourism said that the first flight of China Southern Airlines is likely to be in Mauritius on the 28th of this month, Xinhua reported. China Southern Airlines comes to be the first international airline with flights between Mauritius and China, as Air Mauritius has eight flights per week to China and plans to add another one. According to the Office of Mauritian tourism, 20,885Chinese came to Mauritius in 2012, while in 2013 the arrival of 41, 913 Chinese tourists were recorded with an increase of 100.7 percent. This year's growth target of Mauritius in the Chinese market is projected to double 2013arrivals, reaching 80,000, according to the office.
