(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Chief of the army staff general raheel sharif has said the military operation in north waziristan agency was launched to eliminate criminals from the area.
he expressed these views during his address to participants of the national security and war course at the national defence university here on monday.
the army chief’s address focused on internal and external situation of the country with particular reference to the ongoing operation in nwa. he emphasised that the operation is aimed at eliminating all terrorists and their sanctuaries in nwa and get rid of the menace of terrorism.
“we will rid the country of terrorists” he added.
the coas said dens of terrorists in nwa would be destroyed.
