Sindh government stands by brave Pakistan army

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Sindh information minister sharjeel memon said on monday that pakistan peoples party fully supports armys operation in north waziristan to flush out terrorists.

talking to media persons outside the sindh assembly the minister said that the house has passed a resolution to support the pakistan army which shows our confidence in brave armed forces.

he said the peace talks with the taleban were rendered useless as terrorists wanted to impose their destructive agenda on the nation.

“the nation has made a decision and all were against any talks with them hence the talks were meaningless now” he said. the minister said that the ppp was against the talks from the day one and the current situation proved that its stance was right.

“i have said many times that taleban need to be kicked and could not be corrected by talks” the minister said.

to a query about the internally diplaced persons (idps) issue memon said that karachi and sindh had borne the burden of idps during military operation in south waziristan and other tribal areas but now other provinces especially punjab which is the largest province of the country should host idps.

he said sindh chief minister has called an emergency meeting to review aftermath of military operation in north waziristan and its effect on karachi and rest of sindh.

the minister said that security has been tightened across the province especially in karachi in wake of possible reaction by terrorists. — online
